Concord Concert Series To End 2026 Season With Scott Spradling Band Wednesday

CONCORD, NH — The Clinton Street Concert Series will close its 2026 season on Wednesday, with a free performance by The Scott Spradling Band in Concord.

The concert is scheduled for 6 to 7:15 p.m. on the lawn beside Wesley United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church, 79 Clinton St.

Organizers said the concert will be held rain or shine, with the performance moving indoors if necessary. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

The Scott Spradling Band is described as an 11-piece show band performing classic R&B, Motown, pop favorites, big band-style jazz and dance classics. Many New Hampshire residents know Spradling from his career at WMUR-TV, where he served as political director and moderated candidate debates during the state's first-in-the-nation presidential primaries. The announcement said he is now one of the band's lead vocalists, performing with an ensemble that includes a full horn section, professional rhythm section and two singers.

"Hundreds of people have joined us for concerts this season," Jock Irvine, the coordinator of the Clinton Street Concert Series, said. "We're excited to close the season with a band that delivers an evening of great music and plenty of fun."

Wesley United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church sponsor the concert series and it is presented as a gift to the Concord community. Admission is free, and voluntary donations will be accepted to help support future concerts.

The performance is also supported in part by a grant from the Music Performance Trust Fund, a nonprofit organization established by the recording industry and the American Federation of Musicians. The group works to bring free live performances by professional musicians to communities throughout the United States and Canada. The Music Performance Trust Fund has helped make thousands of admission-free performances possible each year since 1948.
