Motorcyclist Dies After Crash On Interstate 93 At Exit 17 In Concord

Good Samaritans attempted to save the rider's life early Thursday morning before troopers arrived, state police say.

CONCORD, NH — A motorcyclist died on Thursday morning after a crash at the Exit 17 interchange of Interstate 93 in Concord, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 4:30 a.m., troopers were sent to a motorcycle crash report on the on-ramp of the southbound side of the interstate. Good Samaritans, state police said, attempted life-saving measures before troopers and Concord fire and rescue teams arrived.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died later.

WMUR-TV broke the story.

A preliminary investigation determined the rider, who was on a 2019 Harley-Davidson Road Glide, was on the on-ramp when they veered off to the right side of the roadway. The motorcyclist went over a cement curb and through the grassy shoulder before being thrown from the bike. The motorcycle stopped near a guardrail.

The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, state police said.

The ramp was closed for several hours during the investigation.

Troopers were assisted by members of the Concord Fire Department.
