LACONIA, NH — Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield confirmed two motorcycles collided on Route 3 in Laconia, in the area of Funspot and the Looney Bin, Saturday at about 11 pm.
The initial investigation shows the two motorcycles appeared to be traveling in opposite directions when they collided. After the crash, one motorcycle caught fire. Two men and one woman were pronounced deceased at the scene. A fourth patient was transported by DHART to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

Canfield said no businesses in the crash area were involved, and it is currently unknown whether speed or impairment played a role.
The accident remains under investigation, and all details related to the crash are preliminary and subject to further investigation.
