Lakes Region Children's Fund Event Returns To Weirs Beach With Bank Support

MEREDITH, NH — The annual Sweepstakes Social will return to the M/S Mount Washington at Weirs Beach on Sept. 18, with organizers planning an evening to benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is intended to bring community members together while raising support for children and families across the Lakes Region.

MVSB, also known as Meredith Village Savings Bank, is continuing its support of the fundraiser with a $5,000 sponsorship. The event has become a local tradition, according to the announcement, and supports the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund's work to provide resources and opportunities for children and families throughout the region.

"We're thrilled to see the Sweepstakes Social become a cherished tradition, bringing people together for a night of celebration and generosity," Jennifer Beetle, the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund volunteer and 2026 Pub Mania Chairperson, said. "Every ticket purchased helps us make a real difference for local children and the organizations that support them. The Sweepstakes Social is a special opportunity for our community to come together in support of that mission."

Held dockside aboard the M/S Mount Washington, the event will include music, light appetizers, dancing, and time for community members to gather in support of local children and families. Organizers said they will sell only 300 tickets for the event.

The fundraiser is part of the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund's ongoing efforts to raise awareness and support for programs and services that benefit children throughout the region.
