NHCJE Welcomes New Board Members and Staff During Period of Growth

NEW HAMPSHIRE — The New Hampshire Center for Justice & Equity (NHCJE) has expanded its Board and staff while transitioning key leadership roles to strengthen the organization's capacity to advance justice and equity across New Hampshire.

In July, NHCJE welcomed Karina Bonilla and Jasmine Torres Allen to its Board of Directors. Bonilla brings extensive experience in community engagement, social work and public policy, including leadership roles with Centro Latino de New Hampshire and Saint Anselm College. Torres Allen is a bilingual communications professional, chef and entrepreneur whose work uses language access, food, arts and media to strengthen community connections.

Also in July, Jo Porter transitioned from Chief Strategy Officer to her original role as Senior Strategic Advisor. Porter will continue providing strategic counsel to NHCJE while returning to consulting work focused on transformation in the healthcare sector.

In August, Nicole Heller, PhD, joined NHCJE as Director of Outcomes and Reporting. Heller brings more than 20 years of experience in research, higher education and public policy, including work on child and family policy at the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute. She will help NHCJE measure, evaluate and communicate the impact of its programs and initiatives.

On September 14, Michele Stone joined the organization as Director of Finance & Administration. Stone has more than 25 years of financial experience in higher education and holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. She will work alongside Marie Tule, who has led NHCJE's finance and administrative operations since its founding. Tule will mentor Stone and support a smooth transition before retiring in fall 2026.
