CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash Thursday night at the intersection of Green and Warren streets.
Police dispatch began receiving calls from neighborhood residents about squealing tires and then a loud banging sound, which might be a crash. A few minutes later, other neighbors were reporting one vehicle might be on fire or smoking, which led to firefighters being called.
The first arriving police officer said neither vehicle was on fire, but airbags had deployed in one of them. The reported mild injuries included one driver complaining of head pain, according to scanner chatter.
When firefighters arrived, they shut down the northbound lane of Green Street.
One vehicle was a Honda Pilot SUV being driven by a man, while the other was a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck being driven by a woman. She was taken to Concord Hospital by fire and rescue teams.
Two tow trucks were requested to the scene to remove the vehicles.
