Sullivan Bridge demolition to affect Rt. 16 south traffic soon (seacoastonline.com) — Drivers in Dover should prepare for daily southbound Route 16 lane closures starting in September as demolition of the defunct General Sullivan Bridge intensifies near the Little Bay bridges. Work on the aging span, which once carried traffic and later pedestrians between Dover and Newington, will continue into early 2027, with key steel removal and navigational channel closures coordinated with federal and state agencies.

Vehicle crashes into bank in Dover on Central Ave. (seacoastonline.com) — An 83-year-old driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and crashed into the glass vestibule of the M&T Bank at 537 Central Ave in Dover on Wednesday morning. Police and Fire & Rescue say no one was injured, damage to the bank was limited and not structural, and the visitor from out of state was taken to her family's home in Dover.
