3 Brothers Marketplace Holds Open House Saturday

New Exeter speciality store brings responsibly-sourced, local foods to Lincoln Street; officially opens Monday.

3 Brothers Marketplace, a specialty foods store serving responsibly-sourced and local products, will open its doors to the Exeter community on Monday, Apr. 27, according to a press release.

The market, located in the space formerly owned by Humble Pie on 82 Lincoln St., will operate Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The business aims to become the go-to spot for local residents, members of the Phillips Exeter Academy community, Amtrak Downeaster train commuters and seasonal tourists, providing them with healthy and delicious options for takeaway meals.

Ahead of its official opening, the market will host an Open House on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 5 p.m. when the public can get a taste of the company’s unique prepared foods.

3 Brothers Marketplace is thriving to be the new name in grab-and-go. Owned and operated by brothers Carter and Tucker Plimpton, along with lifelong friend Ryan Donlevie, the business is committed to serving responsibly-sourced foods so consumers can feel good about what they are putting in their bodies. The market will offer prepared salads and sandwiches in addition to products from local vendors.

  • Bang up cauliflower and carrot salad, tossed in Anderson Mini-Maple and Mac Apple vinaigrette
  • House-made pulled pork sandwich, served with house-made pickles and Pineland cheddar cheese on Leaven spent grain bread
  • Chicken salad made from chicken thighs, and mixed with red onion, pickled mustard seeds and house-made mayonnaise

“With 3 Brothers, we’re combining our passions for good food and community building to create a place where customers can make smart decisions about what they’re eating,” said Tucker Plimpton, co-founder and head chef. “By serving our own prepared foods as well as products from other local vendors, we aim to raise appreciation for the healthy – and delicious – flavors our region has to offer. We can’t wait to open our doors and set the bar for the kinds of healthy options consumers should expect from grab-and-go.”

3 Brothers will offer catering, as well as a regularly updated menu based on seasonal product availability and customer feedback.
