$4,000 grant for milk and eggs to help Exeter families in need

People's United Community Foundation Awards $4,000 to Society of St. Vincent de Paul Exeter

Manchester, NH - The People's United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People's United Bank, announced today that it has once again awarded $4,000 to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Exeter.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Exeter partners with more than 275 service providers to assist approximately 60 needy households per week. The funding from People's United Community Foundation will support the organization's Milk and Eggs Purchase Program.

"The grant will purchase milk and eggs for our clientele" said Cleo Castonguay, President, Society of St. Vincent de Paul. "These items are essential and are not readily available through the food bank. We are thrilled to have the support of People's United Community Foundation."

"Walking into a grocery store to purchase milk and eggs is something so many of us take for granted," said Dianne Mercier, Officer of People's United Community Foundation and New Hampshire President for People's United Bank. " St. Vincent's has done an excellent job in providing families with the essential nutritional items they need."

Established in 2007, People's United Community Foundation was formed to help support programs and activities that enhance the quality of life for citizens in the communities that People's United Bank serves.
