Adult High School Classes Begin January 31 At Exeter Adult Ed

Night classes are available to help adults work towards completing a high school diploma or for career advancement requirements.

The Exeter Adult Diploma program is now registering students for the Winter/Spring 2022 semester. This program is designed for students who did not complete high school but who would like to earn a diploma by taking courses in the evening similar to those taken by high school students. Classes are small and are offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Remote and in person courses are available.

Adults interested in this program should call the Adult Education office at 603-775-8456 to arrange an appointment with the Program Director. Prospective students are asked to bring a copy of their high school transcript and certificates of any other training in order to evaluate how many credits they have already earned. In addition, older students may also qualify for work experience or military credits.

The selection of courses this semester includes: Mondays: Exploring Contemporary Issues through Literature II (15 weeks, begins Monday, January 31), Wednesdays – Personal Finance (8 weeks, begins February 2) Thursdays – Chemistry with lab and Global Economics & Human Rights (15 weeks, begins Thursday, February 3). Limited scholarships are available thanks to the generous support of the Exeter Rotary Club and Exeter Lion’s Club.

These courses are also open to adults who have completed high school but who also would like more background in a given subject area. Many adult students take these courses to prepare themselves for college courses. Anyone interested in taking courses in the Diploma Program should call as soon as possible, as these classes have limited enrollment, and pre-registration is required.
