Weather forecast:
• Nearly a century later, a family legacy lives on at NH's oldest dry cleaner (unionleader.com) — Blue Ribbon Dry Cleaners on Portsmouth Avenue, founded in Exeter in 1929, is still family-run and navigating big industry changes while its owners weigh retirement and possible redevelopment of the property. The shop’s roots stretch back to a 1919 downtown Exeter tailoring business, and six generations have worked there, preserving both old-school dry-cleaning methods and plenty of colorful customer stories.
• Winnacunnet baseball, softball players take home Athletes of the Week (seacoastonline.com) — Exeter High School athletes get a nod in this week’s Seacoast Athletes of the Week, as past winners include Exeter’s Riley Benevides and Ethan Battles and nominee Autumn Fabiano. The latest honors go to Winnacunnet’s Harvey Reynoso and Lucy Gelbstein after standout baseball and softball performances in late April, edging out other regional contenders in online voting.
