• Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival returns Saturday (unionleader.com) — Exeter's Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival is back this Saturday at Swasey Parkway, running from noon to 4 p.m. and featuring unlimited samples while supplies last. • Man charged with assaulting Exeter Police Sergent ordered held in preventative detention (wzid.com) — An Exeter police sergeant is recovering after allegedly being assaulted and needing multiple stitches during an encounter tied to a recent hit-and-run investigation. A judge has ordered the suspect, Joshua Horgan, held in preventative detention on multiple simple assault charges and resisting arrest, with another court appearance expected next week.
• New Hampshire Public, Private High Schools Rank Among Top 1,000 in Nation (rock929rocks.com) — Exeter families can celebrate that both Exeter High School and Phillips Exeter Academy are listed among New Hampshire's top high schools in new national rankings from Niche.
