Another NH Checkpoint Set by NHSP

Funded by state and federal grants, the sobriety checkpoint will be held during the week of Aug. 9.

The New Hampshire State Police and Epping Police Department will set up a sobriety checkpoint sometime during the week of Aug. 9, 2015, according to a press statement.

Both departments applied for the checkpoint in superior court.

According to Lt. Christopher Vetter, “the Sobriety Checkpoint is one of the most effective methods of detecting and apprehending the impaired driver. A review of records has shown that the use of alcohol by individuals who operate motor vehicles has resulted in an alarming number of deaths and personal injury accidents.”
