Artists Announced for Summer Music Series @ Exeter Public Library

Simons Goodwin Acoustic Folk Duo, Pianist Andy Inzenga, Sea Chantey Singers, and Folk Musician Bob Moore to play @ Exeter Public Libra

Enjoy an afternoon of acoustic folk music at Exeter Public Library on Tuesday, July 12th at 3 pm with Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin. The duo sings all forms of Americana music including soft rock, country, blues, pop standards and most importantly, both traditional and contemporary folk. They keep the audience on its toes with an unpredictable list of songs and beautiful, intricate harmonies. They have been appreciated by audiences in pubs, coffeehouses, outdoor and indoor concert settings, as well as private parties. This is a “must see” acoustic act!

On Tuesday, July 26th at 3:00pm, Exeter Public Library’s Summer Music Series presents an afternoon of entertaining music by pianist Andy Inzenga. The pianist, conductor, and educator is well known to the Exeter area public. Whether conducting at national choral competitions or performing in local churches and nightclubs, Andy remains a musician often in the public eye. As Andy says “A splendid time should be had by all”.

Enjoy an afternoon of the Sea Chantey Singers at Exeter Public Library on Tuesday, August 9th at 3 pm. Their focus is on songs that reflect the maritime heritage of our area. Listen to work songs dating back to the 17th,18th and 19th centuries by which the sailors labored in unison to hoist the sails, weigh anchor and pump the bilge! The UNH Marine Docent Chantey Singers are one of many groups of the UNH Marine Docents which provide educational programs and outreach to the schools and community. Some of their programs include "Day of the Coast", an educational program in the schools, as well as singing for groups such as retirement communities, nursing homes, and community organizations.

Join us Tuesday, August 23rd at 3 pm as the Exeter Public Library welcomes folk singer Bob Moore. Bob has been writing poetry and songs for the past 25 years. During this time, he’s released a collection of songs entitled “On a Mission”. He self-published a collection of poems in 1997, “A Bridge with a View”, and in December of 2009, he released a second collection of poems entitled “Unexpected Colors”. While on Star Island, he’s been working on a collection of originals and plans to put out a recording in the near future. Moore is host of the First Friday Coffeehouse held monthly at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter. All library performances are free and open to the public. The concert will take place in the Bruce Sloan Reading Area in the Adult Services section of the Exeter Public Library.
