At Exeter In-Home, Furniture with Character

Owner Anna Hardy-Evans recently opened a second location.

In-Home, a home decor store that opened in 2010 in downtown Exeter, is continuing to build on its early success.

Owner Anna Hardy-Evans a few months ago opened a second location at 129 Front St. across from Supreme Pizza & Seafood. Her downtown location is at 177 Water St.

In-Home features a variety of antiques and collectibles, many of which have been refurbished by Hardy-Evans and her team.

"We're not a typical furniture shop," she said.

Her inventory includes sofas, chairs, beds, desks and wall decorations, among other items.

"(We have) basically everything from the floor up," she said.

The store has three full-time employees and about 20 part-timers. Hardy-Evans has a wood shop, painting room, and reupholstering area to refurbish the items she sells.

She also offers home design consulting and can refurbish items for customers.

Her downtown location is currently closed for reorganization. The store will re-open Monday, Hardy-Evans says.

She regularly posts items for sale on the store's Facebook page.
