Boston Man Arrested For DUI-Drugs After Route 107 Crash

NHSP: Robert Centore was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs when he crashed a box truck into a utility pole in Kensington.

KENSINGTON, NH — A Bay State man is due in court later this month after allegedly driving drugged this morning on Route 107, according to New Hampshire State Police. Robert Centore, 31, of Boston, MA, was arrested on July 13, 2017, for driving under the influence-drugs, possession of narcotic drug, and operating after suspension. According to state police, troopers were sent to a single-vehicle crash at just before 4:30 a.m. this morning on the eastbound side of the roadway in nearby Kensington.

“The vehicle involved was located off to the right-hand side of the road on its side causing severe damage to a telephone pole and wires,” according to Lt. John Hennessey of Troop A. “The vehicle was described as a 2014 Chevy box truck.”

Centore was transported to Exeter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he noted.

“(The) on scene investigation showed Centore left the travel portion of the roadway and struck at telephone pole, breaking it in half,” Hennessey alleged. “The vehicle then rolled onto its side. The cause of this crash remains under investigation. However, driver impairment is believed to be a contributing factor.”

Centore was later arrested. He’s due in Brentwood District Court on July 26.

The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by Seabrook Police Department, Kensington Fire Department, NH Department of Transportation, Al’s Automotive, and Unitil Electric Company.
