Celebrating Redhook Brewery's Birthday at Redhook Fest
Redhook Brewery celebrates its 30th year in business, and 15th year at the Pease Tradeport, at Hookfest 2011, this Saturday from 2:00 until into the night.

Did you know that the Redhook Brewery has been in business for 30 years? Granted, they've only had their brewery and pub in Portsmouth since 1996, but it feels a lot longer than 15 years.
But whether you consider this a 15th or 30th birthday party, one thing's for sure: the house will be rocking this Saturday at RedHook fest, one the Seacoast's biggest parties of the Summer.

It all starts at 2 PM on Redhook's great grounds. They're bringing in some big-name acts, including New England favorites Citizen Cope; the extraordinary Robert Randolph and The Family Band, whose work on the pedal steel guitar will captivate the whole family; the ecelectic funk/jazz trio known as Soulive; and the Boston-based band Mittens.
Redhook's locally-brewed beer will be available (including their Extra Special Birthday beer, reincarnated after 30 years), and local food vendors will be there to satisfy all tastes. But while Hookfest, now in its 15th year at Redhook's convenient location in the Pease International Tradeport complex, is known to be a great time for young men & women, it's quietly become a terrific event for the whole family, including kids.

For example, they'll have a 40-foot climbing wall on site, as well as a dunk tank. And since the music gets going at 2:30, parents can bring the kids for practically nothing (kids 12 & under get in for only $5 with a paying adult!), enjoy great music, food, and activities, and still be back home before the sun sets.
While you can buy tickets the day of the event, you'll save money by purchasing tickets ahead of time at http://redhook.frontgatetickets.com, or at the Cataqua Pub (located within Redhook's complex) this week. The Cataqua Pub also sells memberships to the Green Alliance, an organization that connects green businesses in New England to eco-conscious communities in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Green Alliance members receive discounts at over 90 businesses across the region, including 10% off Redhook's food at the Cataqua Pub.
And while the events is "rain or shine", the forecast calls for comfortable temps in the 70's this Saturday, with the rain likely holding off until the overnight hours.
Because even Mother Nature smiles on Redhook's birthday!
