Gov.-Elect Maggie Hassan Names Transition Chairs

Former state Sen. Kathleen Sgambati and former DRED Commissioner Sean O'Kane are the co-chairs of Gov.-elect Maggie Hassan's transition team.

She says they will reach out to residents and businesses and focus on creating jobs and balancing the next state budget.

"To build a stronger, more innovative New Hampshire where our businesses can grow, flourish and create good jobs, we need to bring people together to address our challenges and move forward," Hassan said in announcing the pair Nov. 20. "Kathy Sgambati and Sean O'Kane are two highly knowledgeable and dedicated public servants who have worked for years to build consensus on our most pressing issues, and I am proud to have them serve as co-chairs of my transition team."

And in regards to that balanced budget? It will, Hassan adds for the umpteenth time, protect New Hampshire priorities without an income or sales tax.
