Build Your Grazing Plan Course Begins February 29
16-week Cooperative Extension course designed for farmers who graze ruminant animals and want to maximize their pasture production.

A 16-week course designed for farmers who graze ruminant animals and want to maximize their pasture production begins in February. Build Your Grazing Plan, designed by UNH Cooperative Extension Field Specialist Daimon Meeh, will run from Monday, Feb. 29 through Thursday, June 16. The course is conducted primarily online and will also include four in-person sessions.
Participants will go through the process of writing a grazing plan. At the end of the program, they will have designed a functional grazing plan for their specific farms. Additionally, these plans will include all the criteria needed for submission to the New Hampshire Natural Resources Conservation Service for assistance through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
Classes begin with the first of the four in-person meetings on Monday, Feb. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the UNH Cooperative Extension office at 315 Daniel Webster Hwy in Boscawen.
