Community Update

A Picture’s Worth A Thousand Words, owned by John and
Jennifer Segal, suffered extensive water damage in May, which forced the
store’s closing for ten weeks.  APWATW,
located at 65 Water Street, recently reopened for business, much to the delight
of book and art lovers.  To celebrate the
store’s fresh, new look and layout, a grand re-opening is planned for Saturday,
September 7, from noon to 5pm.  The
public is welcome.

Acclaimed local artist Bill Childs will be on hand to debut
an exclusive limited edition piece, Exeter
at 375
. For the first time, Annie Howland’s oil paintings, Skyscapes and Nocturnes, will be on
view.  Guests are invited to browse
through APWATW’s extensive inventory while enjoying light refreshments.

The Segals have owned APWATW since 1985 and specialize in
custom framing, fine and regional art, and have an extensive collection of rare,
used, and collectable books, maps, and antique prints.  In honor of Exeter’s 375th
birthday, limited reproduction prints of Exeter’s 300th birthday
celebration poster from 1938 are also available for purchase and can be custom-framed
at APWATW.
