Monday, Sept. 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., the Stratham Historical Society and Wiggin Memorial Library will sponsor "1623: The Untold Story of New Hampshire's Founding Family", made possible thru a New Hampshire Humanities grant.

The presenter, J. Dennis Robinson is a renowned author, lecturer, and historian throughout our area.  He has authored numerous books, including his latest, "1623".  This book is a compelling narrative of New Hampshire's founder, David Thompson.  The book reveals the all-but-forgotten life of David Thompson, his family and their relationship to an island in the Boston Harbor.  It captures what really happened in the early years of European colonization, and what really happened around David Thompson's settlement.  The author explores the era, unearths the facts, and debunks the myths of our rocky 400-year-old origin tale.

NOTE:  New location for the program will be in the Sewall Room at the Stratham Town Municipal Center, 10 Bunker Hill Ave., Stratham
