Prior elected offices you have held: None
Personal information: Married with four adult children. I attend Bethany Church in Greenland and Raymond.
Priorities if elected:
Jobs and the economy. I believe in growing jobs locally and crafting policies that allow business and community to flourish. I believe we can hold the line on taxes and spending by getting maximum value for our tax dollars. We will grow our economy and spur job creation through tax and fee relief, resisting broad-based taxes and reducing regulatory burdens.
Why are you running?
During the general election, the voters of Exeter, Newfields, Newmarket and Stratham will choose between two very different candidates.
I have a proven record of helping to create jobs and prosperity throughout the Seacoast communities. During my 20+ years at Liberty Mutual in New Hampshire, I helped bring thousands of jobs to the Portsmouth/Dover area. These jobs have resulted in new and existing residents buying and renting homes/apartments and spending their incomes in the local communities. This is the type of background and leadership we need in Concord.
As a state representative, my opponent voted against this year's state budget that reduced spending by $1.2 billion. She also voted against allowing her constituents to vote for a Constitutional Amendment banning any personal income tax. Additionally, she supports a candidate for governor who orchestrated budgets that increased the state deficit by almost $1 billion between 2007-2010.
