CHAMPIONS! Exeter High Ski Team Wins Title

The girls won their second straight championship.

They're champions. Again.

The Exeter High School girls ski team on Monday won its second Division 1 state championship at Mt. Sunapee in Newbury.

The team bested 14 other schools. Freshman Carly Jefferson took first place in the giant slalom and Emily Sakovits took second in the slalom. A total of six Exeter skiers advanced to the Meet of Champions at Cannon Mt. on Wed., March 7.

The boys ski team placed second in the Division 1 championship, which was held on Tuesday at Mt. Sunapee. Senior Blake Linehan took first place in the giant slalom and slalom. Junior Matt Young took second in the giant slalom.
