NEWFIELDS__Vernon Family Farm will satisfy chicken cravings of all kinds this week with both Vernon Fried Chicken and Wicked Chicken Rotisserie available for curbside pick-up this Friday, June 26th.

Guest Chef Matt Provencher, of the Foundry Restaurant, will be frying up VFF chicken from 4 to 7 p.m. at the farm. At the same time, Farmer Jeremiah Vernon and his team will be cooking his trademark Wicked Chicken Rotisserie, which is available seasoned with the VFF Custom Spice Blend, Tuscan Herb, Coffee, Jerk and Harissa. Both can be picked up in a curbside drive-through style system.

The fried chicken plates do sell out, so it’s recommended that customers pre-order through the farm’s website. Rotisserie can also be purchased that day with or without pre-order.

Friday’s fried chicken plate ($20) includes two pieces of double-fried, boneless chicken thighs, plus a biscuit, a side of coleslaw, and potato salad. The fried chicken is not a gluten or dairy-free meal. All chicken is non-GMO, pasture-raised, USDA certified, and Halal certified.

The farm has also opened their outdoor patio/picnic tables, by reservation, on Fridays. Customers can reserve a patio fireplace area featuring seating for six around a ready to light fire. The farm provides cold water to drink, compostable cutlery, and plates. Customers may BYOB while using patio/picnic seating. Seating is for a maximum of six people, including children.
