Cops Will Be at Elementary School After Clown Violence Rumor
Student fears, social media creepy "clown craze" lead Brentwood Police to post officers at Swasey School in order for students to feel safe.

BRENTWOOD, NH — Brentwood Police issued a post on Facebook tonight telling residents that officers would be posted at a local elementary school after students began circulating rumors about possible “clown craze” violence at the school. The post on Oct. 6, 2016, noted that the rumors had frightened some students who were worried about whether or not they would be safe at school.
So police decided to act.
“In an effort to ease students and parental tensions, the Brentwood Police Department will post officers on the school property when the students and parents arrive in the morning,” the post noted. “We will then be a phone call away. We will also patrol the grounds throughout the day so the students can see and feel the police presence.”
