Criminal in Courthouse Bomb Threat Case Denied Release

Jonathan Long, of Somersworth, tried to get out of sentencing by phoning in a bomb threat.

A local man who admitted to making a bomb threat at the Rockingham County Courthouse last year to get out of sentencing was denied work release.

Jonathan Long, of Somersworth, was originally due for sentencing after a conviction for falsifying evidence. He made things a lot worse for himself when he phoned in a bomb threat in an attempt to get out of it.

He was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for the bomb threat. Last week, a judge rejected his request for work release, according to the Union Leader.
