Dan Brown in Exeter Tonight

Author Dan Brown will be at Water Street Bookstore tonight to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Brown, author "The Da Vinci Code," will appear at the store from 6-8 p.m. to greet fans and sign books. Brown is the region's most successful author. He has a home in Rye.

Owner Dan Chartrand opened the bookstore 20 years ago on the weekend of the annual Exeter-Andover football game, according to the store's website.

"We are so grateful to have a community that supports us and customers that are so loyal, particularly in an age when books can be accessed in so many different ways," a posting on the website said. "We will continue to carefully curate our stock of books and hand pick just the right one for each person who comes in the door, and we hope you continue to champion and celebrate with us the joy of the written word."
