Democrats Hold Exeter's Five House Seats
But Republicans keep the state Senate, Executive Council seats.

Democrats, including two incumbents, held onto Exeter’s five House of Representative seats, according to unofficial returns from the Associated Press.
In the Rockingham District 18 race, Alexis Simpson topped the ticket with 3,316 votes. Incumbent state Rep. Frank Heffron came in second, just 16 votes shy of Simpson, with Skip Berrien and Paula Francese also winning.
Republicans Frank Ferraro, Paul Nicholson, Nelson Lourenco, and Robert Goeman rounded out the bottom of the pack.

In the District 36 race, incumbent state Rep. Patricia Lovejoy, another Democrat, easily beat Brian Griset by 4 percent.
In the District 23 state Senate race, Republican incumbent Russell Prescott won handily by 5 percent (10,953 to 8,313).

In the Executive Council District 3 race, incumbent Republican Christopher Sununu easily won re-election against Robin McLane by nearly 21,000 votes.
