Demolition of Old Exeter Junior High Underway

The demolition of the former Exeter Area Junior High School on Linden Street has begun, and a ceremony will be held today to say goodbye to the old building.
The former junior high building, which operated for 40 years, is being demolished to make way for a new YMCA. As of Thursday afternoon, the front of the building had been largely removed, and construction crews were already working on the interior of the building.
Today at noon, a brief ceremony will be held to say an official "goodbye" to the building and welcome the YMCA, according to the town's Facebook page.
