Above is a copy of the warrant for a special town vote coming in the fall on the creation of a more powerful budget committee.
The vote comes after between town officials and a group of residents who have fought to get the committee established so it can have more say in how the town's money is spent. The town already has a budget committee, but it acts in more of an advisory role.
