Donors Get Sneak Peek at Exeter Area YMCA

The new building is on schedule for a September opening.

The Exeter Area YMCA on Linden Street in Exeter is on schedule to open in September 2015, according to a press statement.

Window frames are going in, floors have been poured, the utilities are being installed and wall framing is in progress. It’s becoming easier to visualize the interior of the YMCA!

This construction stage also made it possible for Exeter Area YMCA Capital Campaign donors and their friends to get a sneak peek at the full-service multi-generational health and wellness facility on April 16, 2015.

Courtney Preneta, with her young daughter, was amongst the 120 in attendance, “We’ve been watching the construction, but being able to look inside is exciting. I can see me and my family here: walking on the track, playing in the gym and just having fun together here as a family. It’s going to be a great addition to Exeter!”

According to Cindy Dominguez, volunteer Board of Director’s chair, “You could really feel the enthusiasm for the YMCA grow as guests walked throughout the building learning about the vision for each space. I cannot wait for the building to be open, see these spaces come to life and watch the community benefits in action. We’re humbled by the support the Exeter Area YMCA has received so far. Every donation - no matter the size - is important. If you’re excited about the YMCA, I encourage you to make a contribution!”
