Downtown Exeter Shops Giving 10% Discounts

The promotion is today and tomorrow to benefit needy families.

A bunch of downtown Exeter retailers are offering 10 percent discounts today and tomorrow for a charitable effort to help needy families.

The Historic Exeter Retail Owners Network (HERON) and United Way of the Greater Seacoast are teaming up for the promotion.

The "10 for 10" event offers 10 percent discounts on items purchased from participating retailers March 15 to March 17. Ten percent of the event's sales will be donated to The Greater Seacoast Family Fund, a United Way-powered drive to secure and promote financial stability for struggling families.

Customers must show the 10 for 10 flyer (attached to the right as a PDF) to a participating retailer. The discount will be applied to the purchase at checkout.

In addition, if customers shop at five retailers and collect five stamps from each seller, they will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket.
