Elderly Exeter Man Drowns In Squam Lake
New Hampshire Marine Patrol: William Duryea, 92, went swimming at his camp and drowned on Wednesday.

SANDWICH, NH — An elderly man from Exeter drowned on Squam Lake on Wednesday, New Hampshire Marine Patrol reported.
Around 4 p.m., state police dispatch received a report about a possible drowning on the lake. Marine patrol and first responders from the Sandwich police and fire departments, Center Harbor Fire Department, and Stewarts Ambulance responded to the call. They found people performing CPR on a man.
The man, William Duryea, 92, of Exeter, was pronounced dead later.
