Elderly Man Struck Pedestrian on Route 107A: NHSP

Troopers are seeking assistance with accident incident on May 13, in Kingston where an Epping man was injured.

KINGSTON, NH - New Hampshire State Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area of Route 107A in Kingston to contact them if they saw a pedestrian accident on the morning of May 13, 2016.

According to a report, at just before 10:30 a.m., Kingston Police reported a crash in the area of 13 Route 107A (Powwow River Road). A Nissan Rogue, being driven by an elderly man from Chester, was traveling northwesterly and reportedly began drifting off the roadway into the parking lot of an auto body shop. In the process of doing so, the Rogue struck a pedestrian – an Epping man in his late 30s – causing “serious bodily injuries,” according to state police.

Kingston Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the area and the man was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the Rogue sustained no injuries, according to the report. The road was closed for about three hours during the investigation, according to NH DOT Routes.

The NHSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit and the Kingston Police are investigating the incident. Anyone who was in the area or might have information about the crash is urged to call Trooper Christopher Storm at 603-223-8607 or email christopher.storm@dos.nh.gov.
