BRENTWOOD, NH — A Queen City man is due in court next month after allegedly driving drunk and fleeing the scene of a crash on Route 101 this morning, according to New Hampshire State Police. William Rowe, 65, of Manchester, was arrested on Nov. 6, 2017, and charged with driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident. “Upon arrival, troopers learned that one of the vehicles involved had fled the scene,” Hennessey alleged. “The operator of the remaining vehicle, a Toyota Prius, reported that a suspect had approached him at a high rate of speed and struck the back-end of his vehicle. This action forced the victim to deviate from the roadway and rollover. The victim’s vehicle came to a rest on the driver’s side.”

State troopers at the scene found evidence that the vehicle that struck the Prius was a Volkswagen, according to a report. The victim was treated at the scene and transferred to Exeter Hospital while troopers searched the area for a suspect vehicle.

In Epping, at the weigh station on Route 101 west, troopers located a VW Eurovan. The driver was identified as Rowe and arrested later while the van was towed from the scene.
