Elderly Raymond Man Perishes In Route 101 Crash
NHSP are asking for witnesses to come forward after a Boscawen man reported sets off a multi-vehicle crash in Candia Monday.

CANDIA, NH — The New Hampshire State Police are asking for the public’s help with a collision investigation that took the life of an elderly man from Raymond on Monday afternoon. At just before 2:30 p.m. on July 3, 2017, Troop A troopers were sent to a crash in Candia involving three vehicles, according to a press statement. When they arrived at the scene, they learned that a 37-year-old Boscawen man driving a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck reportedly lost control on the eastbound side of Route 101, after reportedly failing to recognize traffic congestion ahead of him, according to Sgt. Steven Wheeler of the NHSP.
The pickup truck rear-ended a 2017 Honda HR-V being driven by Howard D. Johnson, 72, of Raymond, causing his vehicle to lose control and overturn while striking a 2010 Mini Cooper being driven by a Candia woman, 31.
“As a result of this collision, the operator of the Honda HR-V, Johnson, suffered life threatening injuries and succumbed to those injuries at an area hospital,” Wheeler reported while adding that driver of the pickup and an underage female passenger suffered minor injuries.
