Election Law Complaint Filed Against Newmarket School District

Violations of Right to Know Law

On March 17, 2020, I filed an election law complaint against Susan Givens and the Newmarket School District.

Under the direction of superintendent Givens, the NMSD established the communications committee.

This committee, which included then-school board members Smith and Wieselquist, created a Facebook page titled Newmarket Education Advocates.

The primary purpose of this Facebook page was to advocate voter passage of the school district budget and warrant articles.

The creation of this page by the government to advance their agenda by influencing the voters is not only unethical but its also illegal.

Making matter worse, under RSA 91-A I requested to see the minutes of this committee and was informed by school district Attorney Barbara Loughman there are no meeting minutes; that the district does not consider this committee to fall under the state’s Right-to-Know Law. She is wrong.

So, despite Kenison repeatedly claiming the school board is committed to transparency, nothing good be further from the truth.

Givens, Kenison, Shelton, and Mckinney must resign. They are unethical and reprehensible public servants.
