This very creative activity is open to all third graders. These characters are displayed on the lawn for students and staff at both Lincoln Street School and Main Street School to view. Invitations are extended to Senior Citizen groups and residents of the local nursing homes to join our third graders for this special day. Students will share special songs and folk dances with our invited guests in the afternoon. Students are encouraged to create a character out of wood, clothing, wigs, Styrofoam, hay, cotton, newspapers and any other recyclable materials. Yes, parents and family members may help with the project. For more details about the project please contact Assistant Principal Jan Smith at 775-8860.
