The Crime Stories Anthology Night features local authors, John Bubar (Durham), Pat Remick and Tom Sweeney (Portsmouth) and Leslie Wheeler from Massachusetts, whose stories are among the 27 published in Best New England Crime Stories 2012: Dead Calm, the ninth anthology from Level Best Books, which is edited by award-winning authors, Mark Ammons, Katherine Fast, Barbara Ross, and Leslie Wheeler.
Stories from the Level Best series have won virtually every national mystery-writing award including the Agatha, Anthony, Macavity, and Derringer awards, and have been honored by three Edgar nominations--the mystery-writing equivalent of the Oscars.
