Fambul Tok: a Film about the Power of Forgiveness

Survivors of the brutally violent civil war in Sierra Leone employ traditional ceremonies to heal the wounds inflicted on their society, including the forced recruitment of child soldiers.  Victims and perpetrators reveal the truth, achieve reconciliation, and repair the painful rifts in their families and communities.   What lessons can be drawn for western concepts of justice?  A discussion with Libby Hoffman, executive producer, will follow the film.

No admission will be charged.  (Enter through atrium door at the rear of the building.)
