Remember the Ladies!

Remember the Ladies!  Abigail Adams wrote these words to her husband John in 1776 when he and other colonial leaders were writing the Declaration of Independence. 

During Women’s History Month we will “remember the ladies” with two talks which focus on the lives of Revolutionary-era women.  Certificates of Attendance available to students and teachers.  Event is held at FOLSOM TAVERN, 164 Water St.

March 28:  Imagine witnessing the fight at Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775 and that your own husband is part of the turmoil.  We’ll hear from Diann Strausberg as Mrs. Phebe Emerson Ripley, wife of Reverend William Emerson, the Patriot Minister.
