Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce Holds Community Awards Dinner

Event in June will highlight Business of the Year, other achievements by area citizen leaders.

The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual Community Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 18, at the Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center in Portsmouth, according to a press statement.

The event will get underway at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the awards program. This year the event will continue until 10 p.m. with light music and post celebration networking.

The Community Awards Dinner, (formally the Business of the Year dinner), encompasses several community awards honoring local community members in several areas including: Edward Pease Excellence in Education award, Citizen of the Year award, and the Lori Breard Achievement in Leadership award.

Additionally, Business of the Year awards are presented to Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce members that are exemplary employers and corporate citizens. The Business of the Year awards are modeled after the state awards presented each May by Business NH Magazine and the NH Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Award winning businesses will be honored in the following categories: Business Services, Education/Non-Profit, Health/Wellness, Manufacturing/Technology, Real Estate/Construction/Engineering, Retail/ Wholesale and Tourism/Hospitality.

The public is invited to join the chamber in honoring the award winners. Tickets are $60 per person, or $55/pp if ordered beforeApril 30th. Reservations are required and all major credit cards are accepted. Tickets are available on line at exeterarea.org/store, or by calling the Chamber office at 603-772-2411.

The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit business development association, is a vital part of the community and represents more than 600 businesses, professionals, organizations and individuals in Brentwood, East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Kensington, Kingston, Newfields, Newmarket, Raymond and Stratham. The Chamber also represents members that are not physically located here but do business in the area.
