Exeter Area YMCA Accepting Founding Memberships

Founding memberships help recognize those who are helping to finance the completion of this project, their commitment to be a part of the Y.

It takes an enormous amount of support to build a new Y because local YMCAs do not receive funds from the national YMCA organization. Donated dollars are the primary source of funds that make construction possible. And, because the Exeter Area YMCA is open to all – regardless of ability to pay – it is critical that community support is present.

One way community members can show support for the Y is to become a founding member. Founding members will enjoy all regular facility benefits, PLUS they will receive:

  • Recognition on a permanent plaque, in the annual report and on the website
  • Exclusive use of the Y two weeks before opening
  • An invitation to the founding member event
  • A special founding membership card and key fob

To become a founding member, individuals or families make a one-time, one-sum $500 donation to the Exeter Area YMCA capital campaign and commit to become a member of the Exeter YMCA when online membership sales begin in August.
