Exeter Coyote Map

An Exeter Patch reader last week took a photo of what appears to be a coyote between Hampton Falls Road and Pine Grove Road in the eastern part of town.
Another reader said he's seen a pack of 5-6 coyotes roaming between Brentwood Road and Kingston Road for the last two years.

The Eastern coyote is common in every county in the state, according to wildlife officials. They have been known to kill house cats and get in fights with dogs.
Officials say people should keep pets and pet food inside at night to reduce the chance of an encounter.
There has never been a report of a coyote attacking a person in New Hampshire, according to wildlife officials. The state allows the hunting of coyotes.
