Exeter Deputy Police Chief Josh McCain said the department would seek to have Ortega brought to New Hampshire to face the robbery charge once his charges in Massachusetts are resolved. McCain added Ortega may face more charges in New Hampshire — since the robbery case was still under investigation.

“We’ve been working closely with Lawrence detectives to identify the remaining four suspects, and we certainly expect more charges to be filed as the investigation moves forward,” he said. “This case has been labor intensive as it involves multiple jurisdictions with different suspects and the execution of multiple search warrants.”

McCain said the department still received “multiple tips daily.” We “can’t thank the public enough for providing information that has helped move this case along,” he added.
