Leeks will be featured at the Exeter Farmers Market today.

The market goes from 2:15-6 p.m. at the . About 20 local vendors will be selling everything from groceries to plants to cutting boards.

Leeks are milder and sweeter than onions. They are a key ingredient to vichyssoise, a cold soup of pureed leeks and potatoes. Sliced leeks are a great addition to omelets and frittatas.

Other items available include fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, dairy, meat, fish, eggs, honey, syrup, prepared meals, cider, tea, wine, and crafts, among others.
