Exeter 'Festival of Trees Group' Has Raised $250K for Children's Fund

Its annual fundraiser will be held in December.

The Exeter Festival of Trees Committee is gearing up for its 15th annual fundraiser and silent auction, which will take place Thur., Dec. 5 at Town Hall from 11 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Chamber Children’s Fund, which provides warm winter clothing vouchers to children in need who live in the local areas of Brentwood, East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Kensington, Kingston, Newfields, Newmarket, Raymond and Stratham.

During the past 15 years, the committee has raised $250,000 to benefit the fund. Each year, over 50 trees are donated, decorated and displayed for the silent auction.

Exeter’s annual Festival of Trees not only lights up the Town Hall every year, but touches many people in the community who come together to decorate beautiful trees, enjoy the festivities and offer hope and light for children and families in the surrounding communities.

For many local families, the event has become an anticipated tradition that represents the beginning of the Christmas Season. Anyone interested in volunteering for the Festival of Trees or in decorating a tree, can contact the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce at 603-772-2411.
