Carson Cross, an Exeter High School graduate, was selected in the Major League Baseball draft over the weekend.
Cross, a pitcher, was picked 719th by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The 21-year-old currently pitches at the University of Connecticut. He's right-handed, stands 6-feet, 5-inches tall, and weighs 205 pounds.

According to his bio, his father, Jeff played in the National Basketball Association with the Los Angeles Clippers. His mother, Carol, was a member of the U.S. National Freestyle ski team.
