Exeter Police: National Night Out Is Aug. 2
The national campaign to strengthen police and community partnerships will be celebrated at Swasey Parkway. Here are the details.

EXETER, NH — Police in Exeter want the community to know that National Night Out is right around the corner — and they are hoping it will be even bigger and better than last year.
The national campaign to strengthen police and community partnerships will be celebrated from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Swasey Parkway.
This is the third year the free event is being held, rain or shine, at the parkway — a venue that offers a stage and plenty of space for community building.

The event will feature live music, police and fire vehicles, PEA security vehicles, Exeter DPW trucks, a dunk tank, games for kids, food trucks, balloon animals, equipment from the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game, puppies from Hero Pups, a nonprofit organization that places support dogs with veterans and first responders, and much more.
Attendees will also get to connect with police from our surrounding jurisdictions.

While the event is free, items from the food trucks must be purchased.
Exeter Police Detective Bruce Page, who also serves as the department’s community relations officer, has been working closely with local partners to plan the event.
“We’re really hoping to build on the success of last year’s National Night Out,” he said. “We had a tremendous turnout for this important event, which is a great opportunity for law enforcement and other first responders to catch up with our neighbors, have a little fun, and share some positive experiences together.”
Exeter’s National Night Out is sponsored by Pairpoint Group in Exeter, the Exeter Kiwanis Club, and the Knights of Columbus. Staples also provided support.
