Exeter Restaurants Offer Specials during Exeter LitFest

EXETER__Local restaurants are joining the Exeter LitFest weekend with literary themed menus, cocktails and specials for guests of the annual festival.

Vino e Vivo, Il Cornicello, Otis, Ambrose and the Thirsty Moose are offering promotions or special literary themed menus on Saturday evening. During the last in-person LitFest in 2019, Tony Callendrello, owner of Vino e Vivo, served the Cask of Amontillado, the drink made famous by Edgar Allen Poe, along with the white wine Ravenna. Callendrello hinted that he and Chef Paul Callahan have some creative menu specials in the works for this year’s LitFest, including the Edgar Allen Po' Boy sandwich.

Ambrose Restaurant in the Inn at the Bandstand is creating a special literary themed cocktail for this year’s Exeter LitFest, while Chef Tim O’Brien at Cornicello has a literary themed menu planned. Otis and the Thirsty Moose will offer a 15 percent discount for guests of Exeter LitFest.

Reservations are recommended for Vino e Vivo, Cornicello, Ambrose and Otis.

The Exeter LitFest, which celebrates the literary community in and around Exeter, will take place in the Exeter Town Hall on Saturday, April 2. It is free and open to all. This year’s LitFest will include a keynote discussion between NYT best-selling authors, Brendan Dubois and J.D. Barker, focusing on what it’s like to be a ghostwriter for James Patterson.
